In her 2020 TAG Gallery solo installation, "I am a Material Girl," Artist Fielden Harper explores her Appalachian roots and female heritage. Using fabric and her first artistic training—quilt making—as a guide, the artist showcases contemporary "paintings" in fabric.
The Kentucky born artist holds and MFA in painting from CSULA, maintains a studio at the Santa Monica Airport and is a member of TAG Gallery. Fielden has shown extensively within the United States and internationally in South Korea.
