New visions of contemporary art by Sally Jacobs, Ellen King, Susan Wesley Nuni and The Qwiett will be unveiled at TAG, The Artists Gallery beginning May 31 and running through June 23.
An artists' reception honoring these new exhibitions will take place on Saturday, June 3, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The community and media are invited to attend. At this creative gathering, featured artists will discuss the distinct styles and processes that shape their work. Exhibition titles range from Tender Greens & Fresh Flowers (Jacobs), Color and Line: An Infinite Universe (Nuni), Soar (King) and Radio Silence (The Qwiett).
“We are thrilled to present such diverse talent,” gallerist Laila Alamiri states. “From Sally Jacob’s traditional watercolor paintings, to unconventional sculpture from The Qwiett, this showcase will have something special for every art collector. Susan Wesley Nuni presents intricately designed, intriguing geometric multimedia artworks. Ellen King’s paintings and paper collages explore nature, color, and duality. “The combination of technique and variety will be extraordinary,” Alamiri elaborates.
An additional showcase, titled Black/White, will be on view in the Sky Gallery at TAG beginning June 7. This exhibition features work from various TAG members, each exploring the show's theme through visual art.
Attendees of the June 3rd reception’s new exhibitions can explore five galleries, meet the artists, enjoy wine and refreshments, and discuss the state of contemporary fine art in Los Angeles, and around the world. The event is free and open to the community.
