Karen Woodward Sarrow is a painter. She primarily uses acrylics, but is experimenting with fossil free paints, and enjoys ink drawing. She and her husband run an environmentally-themed print and gift shop, at TAG called Imagi.Life Shop LA. Sarrow is the 2018 Admissions Chair at TAG Gallery.

Sarrow's show in January 2017, entitled Blue Earth, addressed resistance to the new administration on fossil fuel expansion, and social justice.  Sarrow coordinated a Single Payer Healthcare event in June to help bring awareness to #SB562 in California, along with Courage Campaign and Healthy California. She serves on the board at TAG and is a member of Women For Women and Children with Valley Community Health.

Sarrow was born in England and grew up in Missouri, in a close-knit community near the Mississippi River.  She studied art history at The Ohio State University, and worked at the Columbus Central Library, then served as image manager in the Art History department at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2003 she graduated from Pratt Institute with an MFA in painting, and had continued her art and political education. She and her family recently moved back to LA from over two years in Tenafly, New Jersey, where she ran a graphic design business, and provided paintings for the short film "Steps."  Karen and Jonathan have two school-aged children.
