I have always been fascinated by architecture and the ways in which man has chosen to enclose his space. Focusing on signature historic buildings in and around Santa Monica, my representational paintings serve as an informal documentation of the area. I have always been aware of the architectural shapes that shelter and surround me. When I first came here, Los Angeles was a big town and I watched it turn into a vast, city. Most of my work revolves around buildings, especially older ones that seem to carry a sense of history with them.
